Literacka Technologie is a member of the CLARIN consortium

Literacka Technologie is a member of the “CLARIN – common language resources and technological infrastructure” consortium. A press conference and a scientific seminar opening the CLARIN-PL-Biz project took place in March.

CLARIN-PL-Biz is a research and development project carried out by a consortium of 5 research units at the head of the Wrocław University of Technology and 22 business partners , including Literary Technologies . Its goal is to build a platform for Polish language processing and large language data mining . Therefore, CLARIN-PL-Biz works for the benefit of science and scientists, as well as the economy and entrepreneurs, and its goal is to use the developed technological infrastructure in business. Effective linguistic data analysis is the future of the knowledge economy. It is on the basis of data analysis that the global trend for the development of artificial intelligence is based, which is to work for the good of people and the development of the economy.

Until now, a lot of research in this area was carried out for the privileged English language, while the development of tools for the Polish language influences to a greater extent the increase in the competitiveness of domestic enterprises. Therefore, the goal of CLARIN-PL is to popularize access to language technology and resources for the Polish language . Both Polish science and the economy will benefit from this. Similar projects are carried out in 22 other countries associated in the European CLARIN ERIN consortium.

CLARIN-PL has databases describing natural language and its use . The consortium develops computer programs for text and speech analysis at various levels of natural language description and research applications supporting research in the areas of humanities and social sciences.
